Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how viewchat ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use viewchat.org and related services (the "Service"), an AI interactive-story service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — when you sign in with Google: your email address, name and Google account identifier.
• Profile and settings — display name, chat personas you create, language, country, reading and chat settings, and the date you confirmed you are 18 or older (if you did).
• Content you create — messages you send to AI characters and the AI responses, stories, worlds and characters you create, images you upload, comments, likes and reports.
• Purchases — credit balance and purchase history. Payments are processed by Paddle; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Usage and device information — pages and stories viewed, searches, IP-based country, browser type, and cookies described below.

2. How we use information

• To provide the Service: sign-in, generating AI responses, saving your chats and creations, notifications.
• To keep the Service safe: preventing abuse, enforcing age restrictions and our terms, handling reports.
• To improve the Service: rankings, recommendations and aggregate statistics.
• To process purchases and provide customer support.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing

To generate replies, the messages in your chat (including the story and persona context) are sent to AI model providers through OpenRouter, Inc. (e.g., Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek). These providers process the content only to return a response under their API terms. Do not include sensitive personal information in chats.

4. How we share information

We do not sell or "share" (for cross-context behavioral advertising) your personal information. We disclose information only to:

• Service providers that operate the Service on our behalf: Microsoft Azure (hosting, database and image storage, Japan East region), Cloudflare (network delivery and security), Google (sign-in), OpenRouter and AI model providers (AI responses), Paddle (payments).
• Other users — content you choose to publish (stories, comments, public profile name) is visible to others.
• Legal reasons — when required by law or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Service.

5. Cookies

We use necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a language preference cookie, and an anonymous identifier used to count views and popular searches. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. You may delete chats and creations at any time. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (e.g., payment records).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may request to know, access, correct or delete your personal information, and you will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Send requests to novel@gymwork.pro. We will verify your request using your account email.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Mature content is available only to users who confirm they are 18 or older.

9. Security and international transfer

We use encryption in transit, access controls and other safeguards. Your information is stored in Japan and may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
